The PINNACLE 90 keeps your growing toddler safe and offers parents the peace of mind of a secure and easy car seat installation each and every time. CLICKTIGHT Installation System is an innovative technology that allows parents to easily achieve a safe and secure installation using a vehicle seat belt throughout the life of the seat, in harness mode, without having to worry about the weight of their child. The PINNACLE 90 offers a forward-facing, five-point harnessed weight capacity up to 90 pounds, with an industry-leading 20.5 inch shoulder harness height. The PINNACLE 90 also converts to a vehicle belt-positioning booster seat that can be used up to 120 pounds. PINNACLE 90 incorporates BRITAX’s leading Head Safety technologies to protect your child during a crash by minimizing the forward movement of your child’s head during a frontal impact. Head Safety technologies include: Base with SafeCell Technology, Integrated Steel Bars, and Energy Absorbing Versa-Tether. The PINNACLE 90 is also equipped with energy-managing Side Impact Cushion Technology, reducing side impact crash energy by diverting crash forces before reaching your child as well as BRITAX True Side Impact Protection for three layers of side impact protection. True Side Impact Protection provides an extra layer of energy-absorbing EPP foam that contains your child’s head, neck and body, keeping them in “true” or aligned, during a crash. Comfort and convenience features include: a tangle-free, no-rethread five-point harness with an EZ-buckle system, a front-adjust recline, integrated cup holders and storage, multiple buckle positions, fixed armrests, comfort foam, and an easy-remove cover. The Britax Pinnacle 90 is impressive! It was easy to install the new click safe belt feature lets you know it is installed correctly, 100%! It's easy to take the cover off (I always take ours off first before installing, a cover that is difficult to remove can be a deal breaker. Who wants a smelly car seat? Yuck, not me!). The instructions are very well written. The 5 point harness doesn't tangle! My daughter loves the cup holders, they even hold those juice BOXES (that's right folks, those horrible rectangle juice boxes. Britax has thought of all your toddler/pre-school needs!) and snack holders. And the Manhattan print is lovely, it compliments the Onyx print from her old seat (my son is in that one!) and my VW's interior. This seat is made to last, it's bulky sure BUT it is safe! I'm still impressed with Britax! They have not disappointed me yet (and I'm a picky momma)! If you want a good quality SAFE booster, give Pinnacle 90 a try! They last for ever & Britax customer service is the easiest to deal with. (I've called them in the past about other products and have always been treated like a Queen!)If you just want the nitty gritty here it is:Pros: safe easy to install built to last confirmation you've installed it tightly (click!) two settings for installation (LATCH & seat belt) comfortable for your toddler/preschooler (my daughter approves) a place to store the product booklet (thats a plus for me!) easy to clean & remove cover no tangle 5 point harness easy adjustable headrest and harness height true side impact protection cup holders (that can hold juice BOXES)Cons: Bulky (but is that really a con? Honestly. Safety vs bulky? I'm sure you can over look the bulky!) Addictive (once you buy a Britax beware! You will be addicted to the amazing features and ease of use. It's hard to go back to other brands. You know what safety and good products look like. And there customer service will make you feel pampered. Beware, once you go Britax you stay with Britax) The arm rest are a bit lacking. (they have no plush for comfort but again do you need that?)^ There it is folks. Pros and Cons from a Momma of two Children (4 yr old Princess and 15month old Football player boy, GO BUCKEYES!), 2 Siberian Husky furbabies, 1 Chihuahua furbaby, and a pessimistic Husband in tow. I give all my products a serious workout LOL!Happy Shopping!

13 of 14 people found the following review helpful. The Britax Pinnacle car seat is a top of the line safety system that can be used as a forward facing car seat or booster seat. Previously, we have been using Britax Marathon and a Britax Boulevard, which we have been very happy with. The next seat up from these two is the Britax Advocate, which adds the side plastic cushions on the exterior of the car seat, also featured on this Britax Pinnacle. These car seats are all substantial, but the Britax Pinnacle is especially large. It takes up a lot of room and is also very spacious and comfortable for the child. We used the LATCH system on or previous Britax car seats, which is fairly convenient, but not as easy as the Pinnacle's CLICKTIGHT sytem, which uses the seat belts from the car instead of the sometimes difficult to access (or in older cars, non-existent) metal latches. The construction of the car seat is extremely robust. There is a very strong metal frame to protect your child along with ample padding and the previously mentioned plastic/air cushions. My child is especially happy with the two drink holders.Overall, this is a wonderful car seat that we will be sure to get many years use out of. Since it converts into a booster, hopefully this will be our last car seat purchase (at least for our oldest). I would recommend this car seat for ages 4+. Certainly for kids under 2, I would recommend a rear-facing seat. For kids 2-3 years old, this seat may be a bit big, but that depends on the kid (minimum weight is 25 lbs only, but you don't want your kid swimming in this thing).

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful.Disclaimer: I would rate this at four and a half stars if allowed. That being said, when I first got this seat, I thought, wow, this thing is heavy and HUGE. It looks very wide due to the side protection in the head area. I soon found out it is no wider than my Recaro seat and I was quite surprised. I began to try to install this by myself, make note I have never installed ANY car seat, but since the reviews had said it was the easiest install ever, I thought it couldn't be too hard. Well, the first time it was very difficult for me because the manual is not very explanatory. For someone that has never installed a seat, the manual is pretty important. One of the things I had a very hard time with is loosening the buckle on the strap for the clip that clips to the backside of the seat in the car. I guess it is a pretty standard buckle, but I had a really hard time, and even my husband had issues at first and he is very mechanically inclined. There was nothing in the manual about how to use the buckle. It may just be user error, but it was frustrating. The next thing is the Clicktight system. The manual does not very well explain how this works. I was expecting it to be a cinching mechanism of some sort, but what happens is, when you squeeze the buttons that are hidden behind the back padding of the seat, the butt part of the car seat lifts up. If you are leaning on the butt part while squeezing the buttons, the butt part obviously isn't going to be able to pop up. Once I got that figured out, the rest of the install was very easy, though my 12 year old son had to put the butt part back into place for me because I didn't have the power behind my pushing. Once this seat was installed, HOLY MOLY is it in SO tight it is incredible! Not one bit of wiggle room side to side. NONE. My son said it was in there so tight, he thought we could move the car by pulling the seat. He was not exaggerating. The next time I did an install, it was much easier since I knew what I was doing that time! I gave it only four stars for two reasons. First, the button you have to push to release the straps is REALLY far back under the seat. If you have short fingers, you are going to have an issue. My second issue is the strap tightening is very difficult to do. It is hard to get the straps tight enough, or at least what I consider tight enough. I always feel like I am wrestling when doing to tightening. Here are my pros and cons:Pros:Two cup holdersSturdy side impact protectionSTURDY, UNABLE TO BUDGE, after installingComfortable, washable, materialsArm restsThe straps have rubber guards on them. It keeps everything in place and would probably help lessen the pain from the buckle and straps if there was a collision. I am not sure if that is the intention.Would be very easy to move from car to car, though it is HEAVYNo having to get in the car and shove your knee into the seat to get a tight fitClicktight systemAbout a 5 minute install (when you know what you are doing!)My daughter likes the seat!Goes up to 90 pounds, and seems big enough to handle someone that bigCons:Manual is not the greatestButton to loosen the straps is set too far backTightening the straps is difficult. This is my main complaint, and enough for me to only give 4 stars. This is a great seat for all you get, the easy install alone is enough to sway anyone towards this seat. It is a toss up between this seat and my Recaro due to the strap issue, but we had to remove both seats from the car a few weeks ago, and guess which one is back in the car and which one isn't? You got it, the Britax is what was re-installed due to the ease of installation. For the most part, this seat is a fantastic choice.
