2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.i had really high hopes for this product. even after reading all the mixed reviews i decided that i just HAD to have one as we travel by air many times a year. It took a few days longer than i expected for it to arrive, although the product was intact and everything was sent as promised (nautical blue seat, zebra cover, mesh bag). It took a few tries to open and close it for me to get the hang of it (as with anything else). I had to really slide the handle with enough force for it to lock in place. I attached the zebra cover with no problem. The sunshade was a little flimsy and i predicted the elastic bands that held it open would stretch out over time. it made the product a little more cumbersome so during a fit of frustration, i pulled it right off (i had previously tried to remove the shade to no avail). the maiden voyage for my Sit N Stroll was a 5 hour 1 stop flight to texas to visit my mom. i didn't have another carseat or stroller at my destination as i figured this would serve both purposes. Right off the bat i had to covert it in an airport full of people. It was embarrassing as i had to slide it pretty hard several times to make sure it locked open (the same for closing). The times i had to remove it from the car were a nightmare. I didn't believe a previous poster when he said he ended up with bruises on his arms. I now have 2 of my own. Now that i am armed with this new-found wisdom, i have purchased a separate umbrella stroller for when we need one. The "carseat" now stays in the car, buckled, so i have to maneuver my baby from the top so she can slide down in the seat under the car's seat belt which is looped on top or just rethread it everytime we get in the car. I wanted to cry when i was trying to hold my baby (7 months old) still strapped in the seat, in the air while i'm trying to force the lever down several times so the the wheels retract and lock into place. Another time the wheels didn't retract after several forceful attempts and it was because one of the plastic covers from the back wheel was closed. i didn;t figure this out for like 3 eternal minutes while carrying the whole seat in the air, sliding the lever up and down. after the wheels locked, the big plastic flap still hung open. A problem with the zebra cover is that there are these rubbery, plastic hooks that attach to the seat but after 1 week of use, they are starting to stretch out and the cover keeps partially coming off. The good thing is my baby is comfy in it, i LOVE the zebra print and overall it serves its purpose and does exactly what it promises. Despite all the cons i would buy it again. I really appreciate what Lilly Gold has created. Of course it has flaws as most every product out there. I think over the years the kinks will be worked out and it will be a neccesity for the travelling family. For me, i will only be using it at the airport and will make sure i have a lightweight umbrella stroller at my destination. I defintely think if you're going to purchase this product, don't use it as you would a regular stroller or carseat. It seems to be a product strictly for air travel and light strolling (from taxi into hotel, through airport etc). All in all, i feel lucky to own one.
