2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.Have a ginormous SUV and thought that any carseat would fit - wrong! Luckily we went to a baby store where you can trial the carseats in the car before you buy and discovered that the britax, graco, maxi-cosi wouldn't fit without the person in the front seat scrunched up onto the front console. Then we tried the cybex and it left plenty of room to put our seat back and actually use our car. The cybex is super duper safe and the main connection between the carseat base and the carseat is metal - not plastic like american made carseats. I don't love the color choices and we ended up just getting the solid black with white piping and it looks great. It comes with a tested infant insert and also shoulder padded straps which are removable - we took those off right away with an infant but will use them with an older baby. The only thing I don't like is that the shade is waaaaaaay too small so I gave it 4 and not 5 stars - but I just drape a muslin blanket over it if needed or my nursing cover to block him. It's super lightweight compared to other models - but you pay for that - cheaper models use a heavier foam for padding and this one has lightweight but more expensive foam - that's why you pay more. But honestly, can't complain about price because if I were ever in an accident I'd want to know I bought the best carseat! We are very happy with it and its easy to wipe clean which is great for month 2 when your baby will be a puke monster :)
