A double belt fits around the thighs to ensure safety while in the bathtub. A softer plastic height adjustable headrest holds the head in a comfortable but secure position, a necessity when head control is limited. This site has the best price and quick shipping! The seat is hollow plastic and very lightweight. Likely not the most comfortable thing, but my son didn't mind because he was very excited to be in the pool with his siblings!

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. We were hoping to use this as a bath seat for our daughter who has cerebral palsy and hypotonia. First we had to wait for the seat to "sink" a bit as it takes in water from the tub (at first it floats). When we placed our daughter in it, she just kept sliding down in it. She kept sliding down into the straps that go across each leg - it didn't seem comfortable at all. I would have preferred some type of pummel to keep her up and in place at the bottom with the help of the straps at the top. It could also use a bit more lateral support. I could see how this seat might work if the child is in a bathing suit (as the previous commenter mentioned use in a kiddie pool) so that there is some friction between them and the slippery plastic, but for use as a bath chair, it didn't work for us. It might work for a child that has tighter or stronger muscle tone, but with our daughter's low tone, she just kept sliding down and over to the sides. Overall, we were pretty disappointed and felt that this was a waste of our money.
