6 of 7 people found the following review helpful.I am in love with this seat to say the least. I just traded a B-Safe for this. The B-Safe was missing most of what makes a Britax a Britax. My son is almost 6 months old and I couldn't even lift it from the base anymore. So, I recently found out I am expecting again. I knew I wanted a different seat for sure. So, I moved my son to a Britax convertible (way better) and started my hunt for a new one.I wanted something extremely advanced in safety and something that looked good and sheek at the same time. So I looked at Peg Perego, Chicco, etc. I have ignored most American seats due to the fact safety standards for them are nowhere near as high as overseas.I fell in love the minute I saw this seat! Everything about it made me beyond happy. I found a local boutique that carried them so I went and put it through the ringer in store. I knew this was the one. They didn't have this color so I came home and ordered it.When it got here and I unboxed it I was immediately thrilled. The seat itself is very light. Much lighter than my B-Safe. But the base is heavy, very solid! Which I love because I know it will do Its job easily with no fuss. However, the base was broke. I contacted Cybex. Their customer service is absolutely amazing and so easy! They had a new base shipped the same day, with a prepaid UPS return label included for the broke one. I had the new one in 3 days. They contacted me the day after and arranged a pickup for me. I didn't have to do anything. I could not be happier.We decided to try and install the base because Its a little different than others. We read the manual as we went along and it was actually very simple and easy. I have a 2012 Lincoln Navigator and my husband has a 2013 Toyota Tundra. We got very good lnstalls the first time in both. Noone loses any leg room with this seat, it doesn't take up the whole back seat, and you never wonder if Its in right.Now, the seat itself has only one thing I would change.......the canopy. Its insanely puny. Our cars have very dark tinted windows, and sun shades also for extra assurance so in the vehicles Its not a big deal. However, being out and about it is. So I invested in a carseat canopy. It covers the seat completely and when out it will do the job.You can feel how solid the seat is which is good cause I know my baby is safe. The padding is thick, and like memory foam. The straps are easy to adjust, and the adjuster strap is double looped so the extra portion isn't dragging, Its very light, but with a growing baby gains a few but that's any seat. Very easy to carry and handle.My son is 5 1/2 months, 15 lb, and 23 in tall. Of course, he was mommys guinea pig when we got the seat. He was surprisingly happy in it and he has a lot of room left to grow in it, and we used it for a 9 hour drive with him and he slept and played and was happier in this seat than his old one.All these things make it so worth it! I highly recommend it. You will not be sorry! Your babies are so worth it.
