2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. We've been using the Aton for 5 weeks and we're very happy with it in general. Pros:a) It's very light, enough that I don't mind carrying it around, I used a Graco Safe Seat (now the Snugride 32) with my son and never carried it because of the weight and size.b) It's compact enough that it leaves enough room for the driver or passenger seat to slide back or recline quite a bit, in fact the back of the Aton is almost level with the edge of the seat. This is one of the reasons we got the Aton, even though we have another infant seat, our car is a Nissan Rogue (we also have a Britax Boulevard installed there) and the Graco was a very tight fit.c) It seems very comfortable for my baby, she fit very well at 5 lb 14.5 oz when we left the hospital, the newborn inlay seems to help a lot with that and it's supposed to help them breath better than in the "traditional" position.d) I love the fabric, even in the hot Texas summer my daughter was not sweaty in it.e) It's very easy to install without having to climb on the seat and pull the straps like crazy to get a solid install.f) Very easy to put in the base, take out of the base, and also off the car seat adapters in the stroller. The things that I don't like are:a) the canopy, it is so lousy and useless. I don't care that they call it a "designer canopy" that thing looks cool but hardly qualifies as a canopy. Designers should never sacrifice function over looks. I have to put a light blanket over the canopy and handle to cover my baby from the sun.b) When tightening the harness with the seat in the base, the split plate gets stuck sometimes making it impossible to tighten without taking the seat off the base.c) That thing rattles like crazy in the base when empty or with a light baby. It actually makes me nervous and I keep obsessively checking that it's snapped in correctly by pulling the handle up. I checked our old infant seat (the Graco) and it definitely doesn't rattle like that.d) The shoulder pads are very long, too long for a newborn, they can be threaded through the shell to shorten them, but it's a bit annoying.Overall we're very happy with the seat.
